Bitcoin has surpassed" the trillion dollar mark, while the total cryptocurrency market has reached the edge of two trillion dollars.
Bitcoin's value has more than tripled to $52,000 since November 2022. That year was marked by the prominent internal collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange, which led to liquidity crises in several small cryptocurrency companies.
Bitcoin's market value reached over a trillion dollars for the first time since its peak in 2021. In contrast to traditional currencies, the supply of bitcoin is limited and is expected to peak in 2140.
